This from The Dark Reign modification for Battlefield 1942:"After some month's of waiting for a way to import models into Battlefield 1942 (from gMax) and having a bit of trouble with getting our first model in-game, we have finally done it. Presenting the Field Hospital. We will be getting more models in-game in the next few weeks. Also, we would like one or two coders and one texturer. And finally, the mod is looking for someone with PHP experience to create a PHP backend (skinnable) (it would be nice if it links in with Invision PowerBoard). To apply for any of these positions, email darkreignmod@planetbattlefield.com (no attachments). If you have attachments, please send an email to: darkreignmod@hotmail.com"

Boomtown did an interview with the guys over at the Unreal Tournament 2003 modification Force Strike. Here is a bit of the interview:"How many people are working on Strike Force 2003? Currently we have about 15 people working on Strike Force. Did you get most of the old Strike Force team to continue working on the next-generation version of the game or have you started with a complete new group? The only people we brought over from Strike Force Unreal Tournament were Brad AKA Sonic and Ian AKA Threaders. Brad did most of the current code base and Threaders did our character face textures. The rest of the Strike Force 2003 team is brand new. Our team is now made up of some of the best people I’ve ever worked with. These guys do amazing work and realise our potential with SF2003." You can read the entire interview here.

Flag Domination v2.0 Update
[ Posted By:
SgtBOOM on 1/29/04 at
20:52 ] [ Category: News | Subcategory: Unreal Tournament 2003 | ]
Uncommonplace, makers of the Unreal Tournament 2k3 mod Flag Domination, have posted an update on their website detailing some major changes to their mod:
- Three scoring modes: Rounds, Timed, and Scavenger. Rounds is Double Domination style, as before. Timed is as in the UT version. Scavenger is simply one point per capture.
- Flag Points option: Each flag has a limit to the number of points that can be scored on it. This means the game changes as the easy flags get used up, and the games ends if there aren't enough points left for the losing team to catch up.
- Capture point beacons: Each capture point is now clearly marked with a floating hologram showing the flag symbol in the team color.
- Flag symbols are shown next to flag carriers in the scoreboard, and a bug from version 1.1 was fixed in which the second flag on a two-flag map would spontaneously get dropped.
Thanks, Planet Unreal.

Team Delta

Team Delta updated their site with a huge update. This is a Unreal Tournament 2003 war mod."Oh yes people, an update! This time we bring you renders of the Famae SAF, Raging Bull and the Ontario ON-SP1 combat knife. All weapons modelled by Flakk. The Famae SAF was skinned by Matrixed & Enin, while the other two are only Enin's work. The plan was to show one more render, but because of a little smoothing error, you'll have to wait for the next update. And ofcourse, three map screenshots. The first screenshot is of a map called Frenzy, the second is another shot of the Medina map, both made by me (BabyNuke). I'm not the only one working on maps though, the other mappers are also working hard to bring you quality maps. One of those mappers is Perfect_Storm, who's making the Sunrise map you see in screenshot number three, set in a little French village. ..." For the screenshots and the rest of the update I suggest you visit Their site.
